An Evening with Liz Williams

Join us for a fascinating program about the history behind some favorite Southern foods on January 14, 2025!

Southern Food & Beverage Museum founder and cookbook author Liz Williams will share the origin and evolution of everyday dishes that appear on our tables right here at home.

The evening includes free hors d’ouvres based on the recipes in Williams’ cookbooks and free beverages. Guests will be able to buy Williams’ cookbooks. The event starts at 6 p.m. in the University Center Theatre at LSU Shreveport.

You can only enjoy this unique event by joining the Friends of the Spring Street Museum. Memberships start at $15 for students. The Friends organization supports the Spring Street Museum, one of Shreveport’s cultural crown jewels. The museum showcases local history and provides hands-on learning opportunities for students at LSU Shreveport.
