LSUS alum Ashley Elston is drawing raves from book clubs and critics alike for her debut adult novel First Lie Wins!

Join us at 5:30 p.m. on May 16 to hear from Ashley first-hand, ask her questions and get a signed copy of her book. This is only the SECOND public appearance she’s made in Shreveport since First Lie Wins took readers by storm!

First Lie Wins focuses on a woman who seems to have it all — a great boyfriend, a terrifc job and a wonderful home –but her perfect life is a sham, and secrets abound. The story twists and turns to the end.

Hulu is developing a film version of the story, with Ashley slated as executive producer.

Ashley earned a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from LSUS in 1997. She worked as a wedding photographer for years before turning to writing.

Her Young Adult novels have garnered critical praise and a legion of fans. One of the YA novels, The Rules for Disappearing, was nominated for the Best Young Adult Novel of the International Thriller Awards.

KTBS 3 anchor Johnette Magner will moderate the conversation. Ashley will discuss her creative journey and take questions from the audience. She’ll also sign books after the talk. People may bring their own books or buy on during the event.
