A Historical Journey with the World’s Most Studied Artifact: The Shroud of Turin

March 23 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

LSU Shreveport history Professor Dr. Cheryl White will discuss her research into the Shroud of Turin. Her journey took her to the secret archives of the Vatican in Italy. Dr. White has been featured in a recent “History’s Greatest Mysteries” episode about the Shroud of Turin, as well as a 2019 program about the shroud. The Shroud of Turin, considered one of the holiest Catholic relics in the world, has been the subject of study and debate for centuries.

This free program is sponsored by the LSUS Foundation and the Hubert Humphreys Endowed Professorship in History.
